Half-way Home
Wow, can you believe we're 20 weeks along today? It's amazing that we are this far but at the same time I wish we were further! I really cant wait to see my little beautiful baby. I want to hold him/her and let them know how much I have wanted them and show them how much love has been waiting for them all these years.
Half way there, Half way to a new life, Half way to our new family...
We have another appointment next week which I switched to Tuesday February 15th instead of the 14th. Jon works evenings that day so he is able to go to the appointment with me on Tuesday. He really enjoys going and I like him to be at all of the appointments with me. I want him to feel as big of part of this as I am. I want to ask a few things when we go too. I especailly want to ask about the "Level 2" ultrasound (Anatomy ultrasound) that I have been hearing so much about. I have been told that people usually get them at 18 weeks. I didnt have one, our last ultrasound was just a plain old regular one and well you know that wasn't a pleasant visit. I'd like to know if I can get one, I would like to know how the baby's organs are and make sure all it's parts are there and perhaps find out if it's a boy or girl even. I'm going to call our insurance company today to find out how many ultrasounds they pay for during pregnancy and if they cover the anatomy one.
Lately the pregnancy symptoms I have been feeling can simply be described as PAIN! My back has been killing me, my butt down into my leg, my hips, my head... everything. My whole body just about has been aching. I've been getting swollen legs and feet a bit more lately... but it goes away when I'm laying down in bed. Other than that, the mood hasnt been too terrible lately. It helps that a big trigger has been pretty much removed from my life, but we wont get into that.
We had a wonderful time up at the Bed & Breakfast too. It was nice and relaxing, the jacuzzi tub was great too. It was the perfect way, as always, to spend out anniversary! We also went out and drove around the little towns while we were there and for dinner on Saturday we went to a place called Aimie's Dinner & a Movie. It was just that... a theatre with tables and you had your dinner right there while watching the movie. It was pretty nice, aside from the terrible service and chaotic way they had their servers set up. All in all the weekend was great and next year Doug & Louise are excited because we will be coming up with the baby! :) Call me nuts but it doesnt bother me that every anniversary from now on will be different because we'll have our little one. I don't care!! I look forward to it!
Well I'll write more after the appointment next week.
