There's a Contraction

Oh wow... did I ever have one hell of a contraction this morning!!! Jon and I parked the car and got on the shuttle from the parking lot to the hospital to come in to work this morning. Just before we pulled up in front of the hospital I started to get this horrible pain in my back. I could barely sit there it hurt so bad, I instantly got very uncomfortable. The pain continued in my back, around my left hip and across my belly. It lasted for about 2 minutes, I would say. From on the bus until just after I got in and sat down at my desk. I can't even explain the pain and how much it hurt. It was incredible... there really is nothing to compare it to, unless you've passed a kidney stone and know what that feels like. Which I have passed three, I think thats enough labor pains for me! It was at 7:30 this morning and after the pain stopped I waited to see if there was going to be more. The doctor told me to call or come in if I have 4 contractions in an hour. Well it's been all day and I havent had another contraction today yet. I know the contraction bothered the baby because from the time it stopped she was squirming in there a LOT. Seemed like she was trying to get her space back after being squeezed a bit. Anyway, things seem ok now.

I have felt kind of yucky all day, my tummy has been feeling not quite right and I have been on the verge of a headache all day too. I have had heartburn too and this morning on the way in, during the contraction of all times, I had a bad morning sickness issue and almost threw up in the hallway at work. Thank God I was able to hold it down for the most part. Other than that, I'm very hot! The weather is getting warmer and warmer so I kinda hope this little monkey comes a little sooner than the end of June.

I also talked to my work and told them as of this coming Monday (May 16th) I would be cutting my hours and going part time. I see the Doctor again on Wednesday the 18th so I will have to get a Dr's note then for them to put in my file. Then I decided to try to make it part time at work until the third week in June - or until the baby comes - whichever comes first! hehehe

Well tonight I have another appointment with the Head Dr (I made some extra appointments before baby comes to get ready for her mentally)and then we have our second Lamaze class tonight. I'm excited to go again but I have to tell you I tried breathing deeply through that contraction this morning and it didn't help at all!

Well hopefully tonight will be fun!
